The surprising shade that is everywhere

Part pastel and part neutral, say hello to the new colour for spring – buttermilk. Yes, it is usually associated with your baking. But, buttermilk is a delicious shade that is super wearable and sweet addition to your new-season wardrobe.
More intense than beige but not as bright as daffodil, the light pastel tone sits between the two, making it an easy neutral to wear for all. If you’ve never given yellow a whirl, and always stayed clear of the more flashy, brighter versions, then the pale yellow iteration will be an easy entryway into the happy-feeling hue.
And even wearing the pretty shade could make you feel happier, as according to The Zoe Report: ‘Pale yellow means happiness, being jovial, a sense of likability…and it can impact the psyche when someone’s wearing it and when someone’s looking at you.’
The pale hue even emerged as one of spring’s top catwalk contenders with brands like Jil Sander and Salvatore Ferragamo showcasing luxe ensembles incorporating the delicate shade.
So go on give your wardrobe an extra dose of positivity this season with a hit of buttermilk, luckily the high-street is onboard the happiness brigade with a load of lovely, chic buttery pieces.
