If one item of clothing can instantly conjure up sun-filled days it’s a broderie Anglaise blouse. And now that the sun has finally made an appearance, it’s time to invest.

Although broderie anglaise is a stalwart warm-weather staple, it’s never been as profelic as this season, making multiple appearances on the runways of Erdem, Alexander McQueen, and Simone Rocha.

Getting a little 2020 update, this season the blouse comes in various iterations, with oversized collars, puff sleeves, and frills, making them extra covetable. Colours vary too, but for the ultimate in chic style stick to classic white.

Now with the latest going-on, it might just mean that you’ll have to enjoy your new blouse on the comfort of your couch/in your garden.
